Crunchyroll's Double Whammy

Post by Aquarionoid »

The good old folks at Crunchyroll have announced they will be streaming not one but two surprise licensed series for their audiences. First is none other than Detective Conan, likely in its entirety, the shonen anime that has touched people's hearts around the heart. (and lots of fetish fuel for the bondage folks that poke around here  ) However, second is a jaw dropper, as included in their upcoming streams is none other than Tsubaraya's 2005 tokusatsu series Ultraman Max! Since it is not one of the 60s or 70s shows Chaiyo has no right to complain! :P Max is the best pick of the Heisei era Ultra series because it is the only one without a movie tie-in and is the last Ultra series to be set in its own continuity (I think Neo Ultra Q is a sequel to the first Ultra Q so it might not count) while having the heart of the 60s shows (even if it comes across more as parody at times). Plus Ultra Q Dark Fantasy and Ultra Seven X don't act like most other entries in the franchise save for Nexus, so it is the best way to introduce someone to the franchise. /m/ and Henshin Justice went ape-shit happy over this and its not surprising. When the space cats episode uploads you guys have to see it, you'll laugh your asses off.
