Flintstones: The Animated Movie

Post by ARNie »

This could be either good or bad...

Warner Bros. is hoping to bring The Flintstones back to the big-screen, this time as a full-length animated feature.

Chris Henchy -- who is partners with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay in Gary Sanchez Productions and who also co-wrote the script for Warners' Ferrell-Zack Galifianakis comedy The Campaign -- is penning the script.

Ferrell and McKay will executive produce Flintstones, which is in development stages.

It will most definitely be CGI. Still this seems a better idea than giving the property to Seth MacFarlane.

The one problem I have with this is the voice artist who'll do Fred will be imitating Henry Corden and not Alan Reed, because more people are familiar with the Corden version of Fred. And I suppose Pebbles will be an infant and not a teen.
Catwoman: Think you can handle me?
Batman: I've got handcuffs.
Catwoman: Ooh.

I just hope they don't ruin this one like they did with Alvin and the Chipmunks.
