Fantastic Four Reboot: Possible Villain?

Post by ARNie »

Okay, trying to keep an open mind here, lessee what we got...

Tim Blake Nelson is in final negotiations to join the cast of 20th Century Fox’s reboot of The Fantastic Four...
...Nelson will play Harvey Elder, an eccentric and socially awkward scientist.
In comics lore, Elder is actually the Mole Man--

AW FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, YOU KNOW WHAT, FORGET--

Sources say the Mole Man will not appear in this movie but Elder’s appearance does set up the character to be the villain in future installments of the franchise. Fox did not comment on the plans.

...Huh.

Anyway, the full article is here:

How does this make you feel?

Mole Man being the first villain is fine. It's the way to go with the current trend. He was the first villain in the FF comic so it's fine. If I was remotely feeling good about this movie at all I would say set up for a big Dr Doom reveal in the sequel. But at this rate this movie is gonna be a "found footage" super hero movie before it's all said and done.
