So it's 'I'll see your bet and raise you...' time for DC...
After the slew of new information from the Warner Bros. camp that was released yesterday, the Wall Street Journal dropped another bit of info and stated that nine (eleven total currently) other DC Comics adaptations are in development...
...Currently, we know only a handful of these eleven total films. Obviously Superman vs Batman and Justice League are the first two, but Shazam, Fables, Metal Men, Sandman, and 100 Bullets are in development as well. That leaves four other mysterious projects left, and at this point it's your guess is as good as anybody's! Currently, Warner Bros. have no plans for a solo Wonder Woman film (even though Gal Gadot is signed on for a solo Wonder Woman film), which makes guessing the final four films and even greater challenge.

WB adds more movie projects

Re: WB adds more movie projects
I assume WB is waiting to see what the response is to WW in SMvsBM before greenlighting a film. I wouldn't be suirprised if they have a script already handy by then if she has an enthusiastic response (the script for SMvsBm already in production when Man of Steel was opening).
Re: WB adds more movie projects
It's an idiotic mindset. With the success of the Hunger Games movies and Frozen it's pretty obvious they could ride the wave with a decent script for the most recognizable super heroine. Other than that this is a backward mindset. I hope for good productions for all these but it screams of a rush job like the Green Lantern movie we're all trying to forget. With the Marvel movies there is a clear plan. With DC and WB it feels like clamoring to grab onto a trend.

I personally enjoyed the Green Lantern movie. For the topic at hand I can't disagree on any point.

I don't agree. With BvsS in the works and word that it might film backtoback with a JL film, and with other projects on the slate, it is clear that WB has a plan. It may not be Marvel's plan but it doesn't have to be to be sussesful. It's going to be two years till the next film so I don't see how it can be called a rush job. It's mostly comic book fans think you need half a dozen solo films to build up to JL, and that only because it was succusful for Marvel. I myself also doubt whether the audience for Hunger Games or Frozen (which I know nothing about beside the title and it's about people with ice man's powers) would carry over to a WW pic necessarily given how different a franchise it would be and probebly wouldn't play into the teeny bopper tropes that HG does. Doesn't mean a great WW film (which I want to see more than any other character) would not hit big at the BO, but I dpn't think it would have exactly the same appeal.

I did as well but my only gripe with the film was how the villain was taken downAquarionoid wrote:I personally enjoyed the Green Lantern movie. For the topic at hand I can't disagree on any point.
