Some would probably say this was long overdue...and they're probably correct:
In a world of dumb animation execs, Stu Snyder made a sincere effort to be the dumbest of the pack. He was the brilliant visionary who led a campaign to remove cartoons from Cartoon Network.
Now, he’s leaving Cartoon Network.
When Snyder became the executive VP and COO of Turner animation in 2007, he made the shift toward live-action and reality shows one of his priorities. “We did all the research in terms of what kids wanted to watch, what they were watching on TV at the time, on our network and across all networks,” he said in 2009. “I think these new shows, whether reality or live scripted, really open up and broaden the audience, so you can be thinking about new advertising categories.” His foward-thinking approach included adding golfing and military training shows to Cartoon Network. Predictably, his actions were not appreciated by viewers who liked tuning into Cartoon Network to watch…oh, I don’t know…cartoons.

took him long enough, let's hope they will revive some old series from now on
Re: Stu Snyder leaves Cartoon Network...
Yes, finally , ever since I've been watching cartoon network during the last 6 years of watching, some of the reality/live shows they had was not cartoon network quality and it was a cartoon channel only, what part of that this idiot didn't understand and soon I stop watching except when toonami was on then I watch. Back in the late 90s my house hold never had cartoon network but when they put cartoon network on my channel selection I was thrilled and they had nothing but cartoons on at the time. Now hopefully his replacement knows better then to make the same mistakes he did and make the channel cartoon only like the label says "CARTOON NETWORK".

Hope this leads to some of the crap on their getting the axe as well. The only live action stuff on now is the Adult swim crap. Glad I can't stay awake.
Also hope we can finally see some animated films.other than Pokemon. None CG stuff that is. Got alot of DC films that need airing.

Re: Stu Snyder leaves Cartoon Network...
new guy after the gvuy who nearly killed cartoonnetwork, i would give him one word of advice.
fucking revive symiotic titan. reive it you bastard.
dear lord the network has gone down lately. uncle grandpa is easily the worse i ahgve come across............... oh god, ohd god.
even the better shows, like benten omniverse, are rather off. one of the last ones i saw had them msitaking a real plumber for a villain........ it has disguises in the show but not only could he have becoming something smaller, but the vilalin is not the sneaky dsiguise type.
right now hub has the advantage. especially with mlp under their belt... seriously i was hoping that a show that can be THAT surprisingly good would try to inspire someone else. afraid i was wrong.
