Worst Comics Ever
Alright westerners of the civilization, since I know many people here read comics I figured I could start a topic on such. The topic? What are the worst comics you've ever read. I never read a comic I didn't like so I cannot answer my own question.

Re: Worst Comics Ever
Allstar Batman and Robin by Frank Miller comes to mind... but it's so comically bad it's kind of entertaining in a sense... hmmm...
Spiderman might actually be in there. For all the classic stories and the pop culture he's influenced he has some of the all time WORST story lines.

Hard to castigate All Star B+R too much because it read like MIller trolling his own fans. It was a wonderful train wreck to behold (and it had gorgeous Jim Lee art which was worth the price alone). Despite it's popularity, Todd Macfarlane's run on Spider-Man was pretty terrible. How about anything written and drawn by Rob Lifeld since...well...forever (I'm still shocked by how many X-Force comics I have in my old longboxes).
Re: Worst Comics Ever
Most of you probably haven't heard of this one, it was based on a toyline that wasn't based on any DC characters.

Only leafed through the first issue; along with the obvious swipe from Superman's origin the story was stupid, the art was ugly, one of the quotes I remember from it was 'By the fiery cataract,' and the whole issue felt like they were phoning it in.
This made me wary about toyline comics that weren't based on DC or Marvel characters until Marvel's G.I.Joe series which did a better job.

The Dark Knight Strikes Again - Where Frank Miller's utter contempt for the medium which made him famous shines through
Robert Kanigher's mid60s Wonder Woman stories - DC was only publishing the title to maintain the trademark and Kanigher was grinding it out for a check.
The Trial of The Flash - Text book on how to take a beloved character and utterly destroy him because the editorial staff has no idea what to do with him.
Amazing Spiderman 121 - Cynical, vile attempt to sell comics.
Identity Crisis - see Trial of The Flash
Secret Wars - I don't mind using comics to sell toy lines, but at least write a story.

Pretty much describes Spider-Man comics circa 2007-now, plus that Sins Past comic I unfortunately found out about on this board. Three of the worst DC Comics I've read were Identity Crisis, The Dark Knight Strikes Back, and All-Star Batman.

Re: Worst Comics Ever
"I'll kill you to death!" Based on seeing a lot of Linkara reviews, including stuff mentioned here, I'd probably have to say Marville for sheer insanity and overall self undermining. It is basically the comic book version of Valvrave. I asked my roommate if he had any "worst comics ever", while he doesn't think he ever read a bad comic in his life, his least favorite run of The Incredible Hulk was everything between the Devil Hulk take over and the prelude to Planet Hulk (basically volume 3 issues 29 to 87). I've given what issues he had a read, WAY too damn serious and dark with the writing and artwork. I'm not saying it can't work for Hulk (The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction anyone?), but they went overboard with the themes. I don't know, I blame supporting characters being forgotten about and whatever the hell they did to Absorbing Man.

Re: Worst Comics Ever
May as well add newspaper comics on top of comic books...among the ones I consider the worst:
Dustin: Unsympathetic main character, family and one friend even worse, yet somehow it won a Rueben Award. Go figure.
Mallard Fillmore: What little characterization it had has been taken over by the cartoonist's venting at anything he considers "left-leaning", which is in his case is pretty much just about everything. (Oh, and did I mention he got a few DWI's in the past?)
Zits: Very one-note "life of a teen" comic. Essentially the same jokes recycled verbatim.
If I come up with any more, I'll let you all know.

oh well...OH! And I forgot the worst comic book storyline of all time-Spider-Man the Clone saga, a horrible abortion of storytelling. One of my most pleasurable experiences as a comic reader was watching Ben Reilly melt into a puddle of goo. It is basically all I remember of Marvel in the mid 90s.
