So I did the research before posting this. There's a section that covers some of it in the "Alerts" Section viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2511&p=12263&hilit ... own#p12263" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

However I don't see any post going further,and there is a little more, so I thought I might try to clarify it a bit = ). i'll skip on the snakes in the previous post if that's ok.

Firstly, completing quests in the game you get artworks. One of them is this.

Secondly each level has multiple paths, with a little storyline image while you choose. This is one of them. I think it's in the previous post under "groping", but not as a still image.

Thirdly, one of the levels has village girls being held as hostages, so here's a still image rather than a trailer. In fact there's three of them, but unfortunately no design differences.

Finally, fairies in cages that appear in some levels. Not an amazing image, but it's kinda did-ish.

I'd totally love to see a game over like that. There's not enough d.i.d game overs in games anymore. Heck, why couldn't even the lara croft just have a game over tied to a pole in the middle of a tent or something? XD Actually It's given me an idea = p.

Might be a localization issue; maybe the U.S. servers are stricter or something?

Yeah, there really ought to be more D.I.D. gameovers; maybe there will be a resurgence of them someday? Who knows...

That's all good, sometimes things come up and distract ya. A heartgear commission makes for a VERY good excuse too. xD

aha, thanks for the new link, and yeah it probably is a localization issue.

as for the game over screens, I think they were mostly "rendered obsolete" sadly, as I can't think of a modern game that has them. shame too though, imagine how lovely a game over screen, something like: the 3 girls (sorceress, amazon & elf) wrapped up by snakes, or cocooned by the spiders in their web, or even chained/tied in a dungeon somewhere :p imagine how awesome that would be. one of them alone would be good, but all three would be epic :p we can dream for sure.
