Jesse Eisenberg cast as Lex Luthor in 'Batman-Superman Film. The Oscar-nominated star of The Social Network has been cast as the Man of Steel's ultimate fo in Warner Brothers upcoming Batman-Superman film, the studio announced today.

Oh, there's also this guy, familiar with him at least...

He'll be joined by another actor with Academy Award history...Jermemy Irons, who won Best Actor for 1990's Reversal of Fortune, will co-star opposite Ben Affleck's Batman as his butler and confidante Alfred Pennyworth in the upcoming Zack Snyder-directed film.

I've been saying it to my friends: we should give him the benefit of the doubt. This movie is not for another two years; we may be in for a surprise from him. Remember the initial reaction to Heath Ledger being cast as the Joker?

Okay. Couldn't it be easier to get a Superman villain outside of Lex and Zod, like Metallo or Brainiac? Another thing is why not change the title of the film to "World's Finest?"

It's not title World's Finest, it's titled Superman Vs Batman, that's it... movie's gonna suck cuz they are filling it up with too many characters that shouldn't be in the movie just yet... it's Spider-Man 3 all over again!
