Why on earth would anyone buy these sugar-free bears after reviewers warned not to eat more than 15 at a time “unless you are trying to power wash your intestines”?

It's probably the artificial sweetener based on sugar alcohol. I believe it's an incompletely digestible substance, and overconsumption of such a thing WILL lead to consequences such as what's listed, but...
