Sig sizes

I'm already starting to see some of the forum signature pics getting out of hand. Is there a way we can institute a limit on the dimensions and file size of signatures? I don't want to arbitrarily impose a limit on people's choices, but huge sigs on everyone's posts makes for a really spammy forum browsing experience.

On a personal note, it makes the entire board seem cheap and immature to see tons of huge non-related pictures in normal discussions, but this is just my opinion.

I'd have to agree with you there. On some boards I'd enter a topic and see the latest page is absolutely huge. I'd think "Oh cool, a lot of interesting posts to work through" only for most of that size being from the absurd res of the sigs and the actual posts mostly being one sentence long. I'd hate to see that happen here.

I find if you aim within a 500w x 200h window, you're usually always right as rain when it comes to signature image files.
