According to the wiki page for the game, yep that's Amalia van Kyre. Not really knowledgeable of much more than that though.

ah yeah, I remember her a bit. though Kessen 3 is a bit of a goofy re-imagining of the actual history

I think even in the singular case of Amalia van Kyre any semblance of realism is thrown out the window in outfitting her in what amounts to a plate-mail bikini with fishnet stockings and arm wraps. At the same time though, I can totally get behind that decision.

oh there are far more ridiculous outfits than her's lol. her's covers a LOT more than many other female characters from say, Dynasty or Samurai Warriors. most of them show way more skin than just a cleavage window like Amalia here lol

Quite true; I've played quite a bit of Dynasty and Samurai Warriors and recall quite a few revealing outfits. I just realized that Amalia's outfit might have served as inspiration for Nene's Samurai Warriors 3 outfit:

I mean; they look similar aside from the "cultural" differences and Nene's leg-bands.

yeah there are a lot of revealing outfits to go around in the KOEI games, as well as a few weird ones.

and yeah I do see the similarities. it's possible I think.
