I was already a big fan of this game; then I tried out this mode and died. I was rewarded with this surprise:
There aren't any visible bindings and the camera zooms way out from the front, but it's a nice enough tribute to traditional continue scenes; and I now wonder if further on different scenes might be available. So if you guys ever wanted to see what your avatar would look like in a D.I.D. situation; Guild Wars 2 delivers!
P.S. the Medium Armor classes can wear a face mask that looks like a gag. Unfortunately I've no characters that wear that kind of armor; so I'm out of luck on that front.
Edit: Played around with the camera a bit more and got much better screens (U.I.'s gone too!). Nice tribute got nicer.
Double Edit: Got pics of a more cinematic nature that I felt warranted inclusion (Last damsel I swear!)

The whole game is fairly silly; so if anything this is just a continuation of that theme. This level occurs in a simulation technically; so given it's context in a medieval setting it's bonkers to begin with.

Re: Guild Wars 2 Super Adventure Box
Looks like fun, I was actually planning on playing guild wars 2 again. I stopped after it came out though a bit was in it for the WvWvW.
I know there is another quest where you end up in a cage.
Also just curious, what happens if you fail with a friend lol are you both there? Also is this like a patch or something?

Re: Guild Wars 2 Super Adventure Box
I just played through with a friend and sadly there is no group scene. As far as this being a patch goes, I'm not exactly sure. In a sense it is, but it is temporary. It's a system within the game called "Living World" events that appear and disappear within the span of a month. I don't recall them being around at launch (or post launch; I think I played about 1-2 months after it came out) so their implementation might be a more recent innovation. I beat the world in which this cutscene took place; from what the loading screens show there might be more content added later; so more scenes like this might appear over time with the "event's" development. If nothing else the fact that they have an animation like this in the first place could mean interesting stuff for the future if they keep it in mind.

It was just like this in the first Adventure Box too. You can't see it from the screenshots, but the spiked walls close in on you too.

Yeah the last "D" in D.I.D. is quite apparent in this scenario. Lava rising, bombs going off, wall closing in, and pendulum trap are all a bit overkill. Such is tradition.

SnidelyOne if you have a DA account or IM account message me, we should def talk about other video game DID's! ( i tried pming you but it doesn't work atm lol)
I liked your caps so much I decided to go and make my own video and caps also lol. The video link is 2:45 seconds. If I am able im planning on making 5 different vids, then i'll see if i can crop the characters out of each vid and make it look like a party that wiped here . I do hope they release some kind of model viewer, or do more in game DID stuff like this .

Re: Guild Wars 2 Super Adventure Box
Good call on posting a video (I'd considered it but have had yet to capture footage for anything as of yet); screencaps definitely don't do the scene much justice as the struggling animation is quite good. I'll be on the lookout for your pm then (or as you said I could reach you via other methods, lol); haven't seen anything although as you'd said difficulties seemed to have been prevalent in terms of posting stuff as of recent though my luck has just as soon reversed itself so now it seems to be fine. Your idea for a wiped party is quite an ambitious one; at least I'd say so as I've no experience in editing video footage; so best of luck on that front!
But yeah, thanks for the reply and for showcasing one of your avatars as well!
